The Coalition for the Sovereignty of Iceland

Due to my raging anger towards the British and Dutch governments, and by association the European Union and the International Monetary Fund, for their blatant attempt to force my nation into submission. I feel compelled to translate and publish a statement from The Coalition for the Sovereignty of Iceland (Samtök Fullveldissinna, www.fullvalda.is), so that all peoples the world over will know what is being done to a small nation of 320,000 inhabitants, against the will of the majority.

Be it duly noted that I do this without anyone’s leave and entirely on my own.

The board of the Coalition for the Sovereignty of Iceland has agreed upon the following statement.

The government's guarantee of deposits in the Icesave accounts of Landsbankinn in Britain and Holland is in violation of the rules governing the insurance of deposits in the whole of the European Economic Community at the time when Landsbankinn became insolvent. The demand for such a guaranee is an attempt by the British government and the EU to blackmail the Icelandic people. If the Althing agrees to place even more burdens on the nation than was done last summer then the Althing does not have what it takes to protect the wellbeing of the Icelandic nation and should be dissolved and the representatives sent home so an election could be called. -*Dated: November 27, 2009

You deserve our thanks for this initiative of yours, Ísleifur, rightfully taking a stand with the Icelandic nation, unjustly harassed as it is by the Brown cabinet and that of Mr Balkenende in the Netherlands. Yes, we will have more to say, and more, and evermore to disclosed fully the deceitful behavior of those two governments, and of our own treacherously co-dependent socialist government, if their assembled power will force the Icesave legislation upon us. Encore, Ísleifur, encore! We will not be silenced, and their own shame will visit them and revisit them for all to see!

Sovereign og Union þykja mér fulleinræðisleg heiti til þess að nota um samtökin. Coalition og Independency eru orð sem hljóma betur :)

Coalition þýðir samtök, bandalag, samsteypa.
Sovereignity þýðir þýðir fullveldi, sjálfstjórn.

Svo einfalt er það

Ekki veit ég hver lagði þessa þýðingu til í Wikipedia, en þeir eru ekki óskeikulir frekar en Jóka og Grímsi.

Ísleifur, mér dettur alltaf Beta bretadrotting í hug í tengslum við sovereignity-orðið. Blæbrigði málsins skipta máli og mestu varðandi almannatengslin. Leggi nú allir höfuðið í bleyti!

Sovereign er frekar hástemmt orð, satt segir þú Kolbrún.

En er ekki betra að bera sig vel og horfa stoltur í spegilinn heldur en að nota um sjálfan sig og sínar hugsjónir einhverjar meðaljóna lýsingar og hugsunarhátt.

Ísleifur, this was a very good move on your part.   I can see I am not alone in the universal communication.   We the people will not allow the European Union, the IMF, the British and Dutch governments illegally coerce us and extort money from us we do not owe them and never have.   We will stand up straight against their aggression.   We will write all over the world if that is what it takes.  We may file a criminal complaint with the Human Rights Council of the United Nations should our EU-sided and weak government sign the slave-contract against us.

I wish to thank all who honored me with their presence here today. But my humble wish is that the people of the world outside of Iceland will hear of our plight and condemn those responsible. I also hope that the report that is due to be published in February will lead to the arrest and jailing of the Icelanders that led us into this mess by their actions and/or inaction.
